Writer and broadcaster Professor Ross Fitzgerald is Emeritus Professor of History and Politics at Griffith University, Brisbane, and a part-time Professorial Fellow at the Australian Catholic University. He is the author of thirty books, most recently The Pope’s Battalions: Santamaria, Catholicism and the Labor Split (UQP).
