Ferres, Kay

Kay Ferres, MA PhD DipEd, is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Ethics and Gender Studies at Griffith University. She has had extensive experience as a university teacher, at the Townsville and Cairns campuses of James Cook University and, since 1988, at Griffith University. She co-authored Deciphering Culture: Ordinary Curiosities and Subjective Narratives with Jane Crips and Gillian Swanson. Her most recent publication with UQP, An Articulate Country: Re-inventing Citizenship in Australia (2001), was co-authored with Denise Meredyth. Kay’s research focuses include publicity and public opinion, and youth, community and citizenship.
