Platt, Pamela

Pamela Platt was born in Cheshire, England. She and her husband came to Australia in 1969 and settled in south-east Queensland, where their three children were born. Pamela says that her writing is a family affair; the children help her to work out plots and supply helpful details for her stories. Pamela is a part-time assistant in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Queensland. Aside from writing, she enjoys making and dressing antique and modern porcelain dolls. Pig with a View was published by UQP in 1995. Rock’n’Roll Rainforest (UQP 1996) follows a boy’s adventures as he desperately concocts a plan to save a threatened patch of rainforest.
