Bird, Delys

Delys Bird is Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Director of the Centre for Women’s Studies at the University of Western Australia. Delys has been an editor for the literary magazine Westerly since the early 1990s. Her research interests are in Australian women’s writing, feminist theory, contemporary theory and Australian literature. Her edited works include Killing Women: Rewriting Detective Fiction (1994), and Off the Air: Elizabeth Jolley’s Radio Plays (1995). More recently, she edited Katharine Susannah Pritchard (UQP 2000) and co-edited Authority and Influence: Australian Literary Criticism 1950-2000 (UQP 2001).
