Denise Meredyth, PhD DipEd, is a Senior Research Fellow in Cultural Studies at the University of the West of England, Bristol. She co-authored An Articulate Country: Re-inventing Citizenship in Australia (UQP 2001), while working as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Research, Swinburne University. Previously, she was an Australian Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow at Griffith University and, some time before, a secondary English, History and Social Studies teacher. She has published widely on citizenship, education and public policy, and is the co-author of Real Time: Computers, Change and Schooling and co-editor of Citizenship and Cultural Policy Statecraft, Markets and Community.
