Born in 1927, Roger Daniels served in the United States Navy during World War II. He is now Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Cincinnati. His most notable books include American Racism (with Harry Kitano), American Concentration Camps in nine volumes, and Japanese-Americans: From Relocation to Redress. He was an expert witness in the 1982 Presidential Commission of Wartime Relocation and Interment of Civilians. Roger Daniels is the co-author, with Kay Saunders, of Alien Justice: Wartime Internment in Australia and North America (UQP 2000).
