Anthony Lawrence is the author of eight volumes of poetry and the novel In the Half Light (Picador, 2000). His most recent poetry collections are Skinned by Light: Poems 1989-2002 (UQP, 2002) and The Sleep of a Learning Man (Giramondo, 2004). His many honours include the New South Wales Premier’s Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry, the Judith Wright Calanthe Poetry Prize, and an Australia Council Fellowship. He lives in Hobart, Tasmania.
