Alan Gould is a poet, novelist and essayist. His recent publications include the poems in A Fold In The Light (2001), essays in The Totem Ship, (1996) and his sixth novel, The Schoonermaster’s Dance (2000). He has won the 1999 Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal for Literature, the 1992 National Book Council Banjo Award for fiction, and was co-winner of the 2001 Courier-Mail Book of the Year Award with The Schoonermaster’s Dance. In addition, he has recently won the CAPO Fellowship for 2002 and an ACT Creative Fellowship.
