Robyn Sheahan-Bright was appointed the first Executive Director of the Queensland Writers Centre in 1991 and was also a founding director of Jam Roll Press.

She works as a freelance editor, and was the editor of the highly successful young adult fiction book Nightmares in Paradise (UQP 1995). Robyn is also the co-editor of Paradise to Paranoia (UQP 1995) and, most recently, of Hot Iron, Corrugated Sky (UQP 2002), an exploratory selection of writings from Queensland authors.
